WHO WE ARE

We believe the church is a community of people who desire to grow in their relationship with God through Jesus

Christ and with each other.  Real growth happens when people love and care about each other and share together in their faith journeys.  We also believe Christ calls the church to partner with him in his mission to the world by sharing the Good News and helping to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people in the wider community outside the church.  God is in the business of transforming lives, and the church is in the business of partnering with him to do that.

OUR HISTORY

Grace Baptist Church has been at the corner of SE 76th Ave. and SE Ash St. since 1893.  We are associated with the American Baptist Churches USA.  Through ABC, we minister to needs around the world through our missionaries.  Locally, we minister to the Monativilla Neighborhood through a variety of programs.

Our mission is based on the Great Command and the Great Commission, and leads us to love, care, and to work toward transforming lives by being the hands and feet of Christ in our local community and around the world.
