Puerto Rico Mission Trip- Day 7

This is where Pastor Randy will be blogging each day of the Puerto Rico Mission Trip.

Sunday was a day of worship and rest.  We attended Primera Iglesia Bautista de Caguas (First Baptist Church of Caguas).  The service was wonderful and the pastor was able to preach in both English and Spanish.  Thier church building and sanctuary were gorgeous (top photo) and we had an opportunity to have our picture taken with the pastor, Rev. Yamina Apolinari (second photo center)

The church has some incredible ministries and broadcasts their services on Facebook and Youtube.  You can find more information about them at https://www.pibcaguas.org/.

In the late afternoon most of the group traveled back to the beach.  A small group of us stayed back and found a suprising place to go to dinner.  Within 15 minutes of Irradia Center, we found Hacienda Munoz, a coffee plantation and restaurant.  It was the best meal of the trip and the place was absolutely gorgeous!  It was a good day.

While at the Hacienda, Judy Young was talking with a young man in the coffee store there.  She told him we were on a mission trip to help with clean up and such from Hurricane Maria.  He was so gratefully we were there.  He also mentioned that most Puerto Ricans feel like they have been forgotten by the rest of the United States.  That is heartbreaking.  I am glad God has been using us to change lives.
