GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord
and Savior, and that the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God that serves as the final written authority for living out the Christian faith.
We believe that there are two ordinances:
believers' baptism and The Lord's Supper (Communion).
We believe that the committed individual
believer can and should be in direct relationship with God, interpret Scripture with the help of the Holy Spirit, and share his/her individual gifts of ministry.
We believe in taking seriously the call to
evangelism and missionary work, and evangelism involves speaking grace rather than guilt.
We believe that God has called the church to
worship, share the Good News, make disciples, and meet the needs of people.
We believe in supporting religious freedom
and respecting the expressions of faith of others.
We believe in acknowledging that God's
family extends beyond our local church, and that God calls us to cooperative ministries.
We believe that as Christians we have been
called to be Christ’s witnesses for justice and wholeness within a broken society.
We believe in celebrating the racial, cultural,
and theological diversity witnessed within the church.
We believe in heeding the biblical call to
renewal and the need for a vital witness in a new millennium.
