May 24- Ch. 24

When I have heard people talk about the end times they always refer to wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes and famines as being evidence of the closeness of the end.  As I read here, the better evidence that the end is close is the spread of the Gospel throughout the world.  And that is happening with great success.

One Response to May 24- Ch. 24

  1. Larry Martin says:

Reading about the end times can be scary. We will hear of wars and rumors of wars. There will be famines and earthquakes. Jesus however says not to be frightened for these things must take place. There will be the abomination of desolation spoken of through Daniel the prophet. There shall be tribulation that has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now nor ever shall until the return of Christ. But there are some promises here too. In verse 13 the promise that he who endures to the end shall be saved. in verse 22 we are promised for the sake of the elect that the day of great tribulation shall be cut short. If they were not no life would have been saved. Through the tribulation it is important that our love for God not grow cold. This is also true about our love for our fellow man.
