May 22- Ch. 22

In thinking about the church of today, I think everyone would agree that it is not as affective as it could be.  I think the words of Jesus in this chapter may touch on part of the reason.  Verse 29, “Jesus answered, ‘You don’t understand, because you don’t know what the Scriptures say, and you don’t know about the power of God.'”  If God’s people spent more time in his word, they would know the scriptures better, and would realize more of the power of God.  If this were to happen the church would undergo an incredible revival.

One Response to May 22- Ch. 22

  1. Larry Martin says:

We have all been asked to the wedding feast. Will we go is another question. In the parable of the marriage feast God sent out has slaves to call whose who had been invited to the feast. In the days of Jesus on earth it was the Jews. They were too busy to come. They felt secure in that they were the chosen people of God. God then asked the evil and good people from all over, the gentiles. We today that are Christians consider ourselves the chosen, those invited to the wedding feast. Are we too busy to attend with the doings of the world? There is also a warning that if we do attend we better be dressed in wedding clothes. What does this mean? Are you ready to attend the wedding and clothed for the event? Is this the armor of God talked about in Ephesians? Is this the fruit your life has produced? I do not know the answer to these questions. I do know to have enough sense to go to the feast.
