Apr. 28- Ch. 28

You have to wonder what was going through the chief priests’ heads as they listened to the guards. I would loved to have been a fly on the wall in the meeting they had with the elders!

  1. Sharon Owen says:

Why is the end of Matthew so brief? It’s almost like a part has been lost and someone made up an abbreviated ending, especially compared to the lengthy “story” in other Gospels. Nevertheless, I’m glad he was resurrected and I got to be one of those disciples that got made!

  2. Larry Martin says:

The eleven proceeded to Galilee. When they saw Jesus, they worshiped Him. Some were doubtful even though they saw him. Jesus came up and spoke to them saying, “all authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Jesus further instructed them to teach those they baptized in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit to observe all the commands that Jesus taught them. Not only our we to bring people to believe in Christ but we are to instruct and help them live lives that follow Jesus teaching. It is interesting to note that even thought they saw him some still doubted. This says some so I would take it to mean more than just Thomas who is talked about in one of the other Gospels.
