Apr. 20- Ch. 20

I wonder why the crowd at Jericho tried to silence the two blind men.  People had seen Jesus heal others, why ere these two different?  Did they think if Jesus gave the men his attention they would get less?  I just don’t get it.

  1. Larry Martin says:

The story of the workers in the vineyard is a story of our world. In our world a person is rewarded by the time he serves or the position he serves in. Through this story Jesus shows us God does not operate that way. The length of service or the role we serve does not earn our reward from God or determine the size of that reward. The reward is God’s to give, not ours to earn. One thing I did notice is that all the workers heeded his call to go into the field and do his bidding.

  2. Toni says:

ALL of the workers went willingly BUT how many of them complained the whole time about what is fair? From where I stand, only the one paying the price for the work has the right to say what is fair.
