November 23- 1 John 2

V. 19- They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.”  This verse reminds me of a news report of a pastor or priest who decided to live a year without God.  He did so, and after that year decided he didn’t need God anymore.  I can’t believe he belonged to God in the first place.  Trying to live without God for a year after having been a child of God would be like trying to live a year without breathing.

I completely agree. Even in my years of taking God for granted and having almost no relationship with Him, I still would have grieved to not have Him in my life at all.
