July 20- John 20

I wonder why John took special note of the condition of Jesus’ grave cloths, especially noting that the cloth that covered his face was folded.  I would have loved to see what the process was of that as the resurrection was taking place.  Did it fold itself?  Did an angel fold it?  Did Jesus fold it?  All interesting to thank about.

  1. Sharon Owen says:

Those are things that have gone through my head also–and what about those wrapped strips of linen?

In verse 30, John says that Jesus did many other miraculous “signs”. My NIV footnote in chapter 2 points out that he uses the word “signs” to emphasize the significance of the miracles, as opposed to just what was done.
