Mar. 28- 3 John

So here is a thought.  I wonder if 2 John and 3 John were written to different people in the same general location at about the same time.  John closes both letters almost identically, “13 I have much to write you, but I do not want to do so with pen and ink. 14 I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face.”

One Response to Mar. 28- 3 John

  1. Sharon Owen says:

This is a warm personal letter from John. Like any good leader/politician who does not have direct access to the congregation, he uses a faithful member of the congregation to get the message of his deep concern and opprobrium about Diotrephes to the body. Likewise, he praises Demetrius as a person doing what he should be and, by inference, contrasting him with Diotrephes.
