Mar. 22- 1 John 1

I realized this morning, John’s letter is really a written testimony or witness. He says, “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our joy complete.” He is inviting his reader into relationship with Jesus. And the reason for doing it? “To make our joy complete.” How many of us think about sharing the Gospel so our joy will be made complete? On the contrary, joy often is the last word that comes to mind when we share the Gospel. Words like uncomfortable, fear, and uneasiness are more often the words we land on. But is that the way it should be for us, or should we feel more the way John does? (Rhetorical question)
