Dec. 27- Ch. 27

v. 44- In the same way the rebels who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

This implies both the men crucified with Jesus ridiculed him.  This goes against other accounts which talk about only one man ridiculing Jesus, while the other asks to be with Jesus in Paradise.

  1. Sharon Owen says:

I thought about that this time also. However, since the Gospels can’t even agree on what he spoke in that brief time, nor did those on the ground seem to fully comprehend, it occurs to me that the “redeemed thief” may be a fanciful construction of someone who reported the events. And, likewise, Matthew may be mistaken also.
