Dec. 26- Ch. 26

I knew Judas received 30 pieces of silver for betraying Christ because it fulfilled a prophecy in Zechariah.  What I just read recently, though, surprised me.  30 pieces of silver was the going rate for a slave.  The religious leaders put this price on  Jesus’ head to further insult him.

    We may have mentioned this previously but I again found it noteworthy that when the High Priest charged Jesus “under oath by the living God” that Jesus indeed answered him fully.
