Sept. 24- Ch. 24

I have to confess, the issue concerning the end times is something I have never felt comfortable with because it is sooooooo wide open to interpretation and speculation. In terms of the Gospel being preached in the whole world, if I read what Jesus says in context, then this world-wide proclamation of the Gospel will be done during the tribulation period. The one thing about the end times I am fairly sure of, is views like that of Tim LaHaye in the Left Behind series of books are faulty. There is going to be no secretive removal of the church from the world before the tribulation. When Christ returns, everyone is going to know what has taken place. I think that is why Jesus says in v. 30, “And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.”

One Response to Sept. 24- Ch. 24

  1. Larry Martin says:

Verse 14 leaves me with questions. “And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached to all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” With where this verse is placed is this after the beginning of sorrows verses 4-7. Is this after we are delivered up to tribulation talked about in verse 9? Is this after an era of lawlessness and the love of many growing cold? Are we possibly in the tribulation now? Many people in Africa, the Ukraine, the middle east might think so.
