June 21- Ch. 21

As Larry has so aptly observed, those who will inherit the kingdom are doers.  They are not listeners, they are not speakers…they are doers.  They do for the Lord, and do for others, and in doing for others, as Jesus told us, it is like doing for the Lord.  What are you doing for the Lord?  What am I doing for the Lord?

One Response to June 21- Ch. 21

  1. Larry Martin says:

This chapter has some harsh words. We who say we believe look upon ourselves as the chosen people. How often have we been told if we confess that Jesus is our savior and take him as such that the kingdom of heaven will be ours. During the time of Jesus the Jews believed they were the chosen people. They were under the Abrahamic covenant with God. They would inherit the kingdom of heaven. They had a special relationship with God. Jesus in verse 43 says “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.” In our lives are we bearing the fruits of our belief? Are we in danger of having the kingdom taken from us and given to another who does bear the fruits? I do not have the answer but you do.
