With everything that has been happening in our world lately, we have been reminded about how dark the times are.  I hate to think how much darker they would be if God’s spirit was not present in his people!

Dec. 19- Ch. 19

This chapter says people brought the little children to Jesus.  When the disciples refused them, they not only were doing a disservice to the children, but also to the people (most likely parents) who brought them.

As Jesus told the disciples how to deal with sin, I wonder what Matthew thought when Jesus told them if a sinner didn’t listen you are to “treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.”

Dec. 17- Ch. 17

I was hit by the fact Jesus talked about his death and resurrection twice in this chapter.  I still do not get how come the disciples did not get the fact that Jesus was going to resurrect.

This devotional today reminded me of the time the Beatles claimed to be more famous than Jesus.  LOL…how arrogant can 4 men be.  We will still be speaking the name of Jesus long after all 4 Beatles are gone!
